Man charged over the murder of Jack O'Brien in Leigh
The 27 year old was stabbed to death on Tuesday night
Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Leigh have charged a man with his murder.
Jack O'Brien, 27, died in hospital following the attack on Siddow Common on Tuesday night (03 December).
Kevin Draper (15/09/1969) of Siddow Common, Leigh, has been charged with murder.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday 7 December).
Paying tribute, Jack’s family said: “Where do we start? As a family were absolutely devastated somebody has brutally taken our only son, brother, uncle and grandson.
“No mother should ever have to bury a child.
“We have been left with a massive hole in our hearts which will never heal.
“As a family we will cherish every memory good and the bad. His memory will live through us all, forever our Jack and forever 27.”
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch, as their investigation continues.
