Man charged in relation to fraud offences

Police investigating numerous incidents of fraud across Cheshire have charged a man in connection with the incidents.

Mason Crozier, of Oak Bank Avenue, Manchester, was arrested last week and has since been charged.

The 24-year-old has since been charged with 22 offences. This includes seven counts of fraud by false representation, seven counts of theft of a motor vehicle, seven counts of impersonating a police officer and one count of possession of an article for use in fraud.

The charges relate to reports of fraud in Chester and Bollington in Cheshire, as well as Lancashire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, between 11 May and 24 August 2025.

Crozier has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 6 October.
