Man arrested after woman had her phone stolen, while she was having an epileptic fit

A man has been arrested after a woman had her phone stolen - while she was on the ground suffering with an epileptic fit.
It happened in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 21st March.
The woman was on Portland Street in the city centre when she suffered the fit.
She contacted the police to tell them her phone had been stolen while she had been struggling with the medical emergency.
In a Facebook post, her husband said:
"The events of the last few days have been horrific but have been made tolerable by the massive outpouring of support from friends and family. Both myself and Leonora Royce are both humbled and touched by the amount of love and well wishes.
"This is a crime that seems to have captured the public consciousness. Made us reflect on where we are as a society that such things can happen to a lady working late. Just living a normal life. She was no entitled person rubbing wealth in the face of others. She was working late, got ill and ended up in a scene from The Walking Dead. A horde of three of four people clawing at her as she lay on the pavement suffering a seizure. We can do better than this as a city and we will over the coming months.
"Both of us are grateful beyond words for the avalanche of kind words from people we are lucky to have in our lives. Thank you are only two words and they do not seem enough.
"We are Mancunians. The people that did this are not."
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He remains in custody for questioning.
