The cast of the hit musical 'Sunny Afternoon' got a standing ovation last night as it opened in Manchester, its first stop on tour after leaving London.

The show tells the story of The Kinks; the band's rise to fame, their music, their relationships, their troubles and of course their infamous title of being the only group ever to be banned from America.

The show had people dancing in the isles featuring hits such as 'You Really Got Me' and 'Lola'.

Frontman Ray Davies was in the star-studded audience at the Opera House. He gave KEY an exclusive radio interview before the show.
