Junior Doctors Strike in Manchester

Published 10th Feb 2016

Junior doctors are on the picket lines across Greater Manchester again for a second day of strike action.

Members of the public and unions have stood alongside striking junior doctors at many hospitals and health units to show their support in the bitter contract row with the Government.

Drivers passing Manchester Royal Infirmary beeped their horns, while many visitors stopped to offer support and ask questions on their way inside.

A rally will take place this lunchtime at Manchester Central Methodist Hall, Oldham Street followed by a 'meet the doctors and nurses event' on Market Street outside the Arndale Centre.
