"My baby boy is no more" - Mother pays tribute to Levenshulme stabbing victim
19-year-old Ibraheem Ali died after being stabbed on Stockport Road
The mother of a teenager who died after being stabbed in south Manchester has paid tribute to her son, describing his death as a "tragic loss".
Ibraheem Ali – aged 19 – passed away in hospital following an incident on Stockport Road, Levenshulme on Sunday 22 January 2023.
Greater Manchester Police have launched a murder investigation.
In a tribute to Ibraheem, his mother and family said: “Ibraheem was the light of my soul. Such a caring soul. A kind of son I wish all mothers to have. This unexpected loss is difficult to comprehend.
"I hope and pray no mother has to go through this. My baby boy is no more, I will cherish his memories forever.
“Ibraheem was a beautiful, loving caring and kind young man. Always Smiling, respectful and offering to help others around him. This is a tragic loss that has affected all the community. He will be dearly missed by his friends and Family.”
A 20-year-old man was previously charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident.
Akbar Kafeel Khan, from Gorton, was also charged with possession of a bladed article.
He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court last month.
