Harry Styles invests in brand new arena coming to Manchester

One Direction star regards the city as his home town

Harry Styles has made his first big move into the business world with an investment in Co-op Live, Oak View Group’s new venue in Manchester. The arena, which will be the UK’s largest, was given planning approval in September and is set to open in 2023.

Co-op Live will be a state of the art indoor music and sports venue to be constructed next to the Etihad Stadium, building work is expected to start next month creating thousands of jobs in Manchester.

Harry Styles has experience phenomenal success in both One Direction and as a solo artist selling millions of records world wide and preforming to crowds in some of the most iconic venues on the planet.

Harry is not only investing in the £350m project but will also be hands on in the development plans. He said, "I’m incredibly proud and excited to be partnering with OVG on their plans for Coop Live. "

Talking about his investment, Harry Styles said, "I was drawn to this project on every level, from the opportunities it brings, to the contribution it will make to the city, and most importantly, that it will allow even more live music to thrive in Manchester. It's just another sign that this amazing city continues to grow."

Co-op Live will be the biggest indoor arena in the UK and will deliver a first-class experience for all visitors and artists to the venue.
