Gunshots fired at Sale park as children playing
Police have stepped up patrols around Dainewell Park after the incident yesterday evening

Police are stepping up patrols in Sale after gunshots were fired at a park, near where children were playing, yesterday evening.
Officers were called to Hornbeam Close, Sale at around 6:15pm to reports of a firearms discharge.
Enquiries have established a blue Nissan Qashqai entered the cul-de-sac leading to Dainewell Park and fired several shots at a group of people gathered in the park.
The group of people and the car both fled the scene. No injuries have been reported.
A scene remains in place as enquiries continue. No arrests have been made.
Detective Inspector Helen Bagnall of GMP's Trafford Division said:
"The time of day and public space this incident took place in is of huge concern and we would like to reassure people that they will see more police in the locality as our enquiries continue.
"We are aware of ongoing disruption in this locality and have recently raised patrols while we work with partner agencies to address these ongoing challenges. The community's safety is our utmost priority and we are continuing to engage with residents to focus policing in this area.
"We have launched a full investigation into this incident and our detectives are working hard to track down those responsible. If anyone has information, no matter how minor, this could be the breakthrough we need, so do please get in touch."
