Greater Manchester Local Elections: What we know so far...
Voters across Greater Manchester have been deciding who they'll put in charge of their local councils

Overnight votes have been being counted across Greater Manchester to determine who will be in charge of our local councils.
Results are now in for six of the ten boroughs which went to the polls yesterday.
Here are how the results are shaping up so far...
Bolton
Bolton remains under no overall control, meaning no party has a majority on the council. 20 of its 60 seats were up for grabs but just one has changed hands.
The Conservatives have gained a councillor with an independent candiate losing their seat.
That leaves the final tallies for Bolton at 23 Conservative councillors, 19 Labour, 13 independents and 5 Liberal Democrats.
Oldham
Labour has kept control of the council in Oldham despite a number of losses. Of the 60 councillors there, 21 were up for election.
Five Labour councillors lost their seats overnight including the council leader Arooj Shah. Of those five seats, one went to the Conservatives, one to the Lib Dems and three independent candidates were elected.
That leaves Labour with 35 councillors there, the Conservative Party with 9, also 9 Liberal Democrats and 7 Independent councillors.
Salford
Labour lost a small number of seats in Salford but has held on to control of the council there. 20 out of 60 seats on the council were up for election.
Three Labour councillors were lost with one seat going to the Conservatives, one to the Liberal Democrats and one to an Independent candidate.
After this set of elections, Labour now has 49 councillors, the Conservatives have 8, there are 2 Lib Dem councillors and one independent too.
Stockport
Stockport Council remains under no overall control but the Liberal Democrats, who are the largest party there, have picked up a couple of extra seats. Out of the 63 council seats, 21 were up for grabs.
The Lib Dems gained two councillors overnight at the expense of the Conservatives. The Conservatives also lost a third candidate who will be replaced with a Green Party councillor.
That leaves the council with 28 Liberal Democrat councillors, 25 Labour, 5 Conservative, 3 independents and 2 Green Party councillors.
Tameside
Labour has also held onto control of Tameside Council despite losing two seats. 19 out of 57 councillors were up for election there.
Two Conservative councillors have been elected in place of the Labour candidates.
That leaves the final tallies on 48 Labour councillors, 8 Conservatives, and 1 Green Party councillor.
Wigan
Labour has kept control of Wigan Council and also picked up a few seats overnight. 26 out of the 75 seats there were up for election.
Labour has gained three extra councillors overnight at the expense of two independent councillors and one Conservative.
Labour now have 61 councillors, the Conservatives end on 7 and there are also 7 independent councillors too.
Manchester, Rochdale, Trafford & Bury
Vote counting is yet to start in the final four boroughs of Greater Manchester.
Counts will begin in Manchester, Rochdale and Trafford later this morning with results expected mid-afternoon.
Meanwhile, the count in Bury won't begin until this afternoon and we can expect the result later on this evening.
