General Election: Advice from Greater Manchester experts
There's less than 48 hours until polling stations open across the country
Political experts across Greater Manchester are sharing their advice for people who don’t know who to vote for in the General Election.
With polling stations opening in less than 48 hours, the latest statistics from YouGov show around one in eight people are still undecided on who to vote for.
Professor Colin Talbot is from the University of Manchester, he said: "I don't think you need to read the manifestos, and some of them are rather long... There's plenty of websites that will actually just list comparisons of policies for you - these are the main issues that the parties differ on or agree on.
"I wouldn't worry too much about the manifestos, and in any case, not everything's in the manifestos."
Professor Colin has this reminder for people on the day: "Turn up. It's the first thing to remember.
"Turn up and take some form of ID with you. We now have voter ID in operation. There's quite a range of different types of ID available. Obviously the most obvious ones are a passport or a driving licence if you have them. But if you don't have the correct ID, you won't be allowed to vote."
