Security has been stepped up in Manchester City Centre - as the Conservative Party Conference is in full swing.
Armed police line the streets and road closures are in place.
Earlier, Thomas Cook staff gathered close to Manchester Central, where the annual conference is taking place, to demand financial help from the government.
