Full list of road closures in Manchester ahead of the Tory Party Conference
Numerous routes are being blocked off ahead of the event.
You may have noticed that driving around Manchester city centre has been a bit of a nightmare since last night - that's because a number of roads have been closed in preparation for the Conservative Party conference.
Below you'll find a full list of the roads to avoid - The event starts on Sunday 1st October and runs through until Wednesday 4th October.
Already closed:
- Mount Street (between Windmill Street and Peter Street)
- Lower Mosley Street inbound (from Great Bridgewater Street to Windmill Street), except for access to Bishopsgate and Manchester Central NCP car park
- Windmill Street (between Lower Mosley Street and Watson Street)
- Southmill Street (between Windmill Street and Peter Street)
- Museum Street is closed for existing construction works
From Thursday 28 September 19:00
- Peter Street (between Southmill Street and Oxford Street)
- Oxford Street (between Portland Street and Peter Street)
- Hall Street and Bale Street
From Friday 29 September 10:00
- Peter Street (between Deansgate and Southmill Street)
- Southmill Street (between Windmill Street and Bootle Street)
- Marron Place
- Jerusalem Place
From Friday 29 September 19:00
- Lower Mosley Street inbound (from Manchester Central NCP car park and Great Bridgewater Street)
After the conference, removal of road restrictions will begin Wednesday 4 October and be completed on Friday 6 October
