Four year old showered in glass as stone hits car
Window shatters as mum pulls over to let police car pass
A four-year-old boy's had a lucky escape after a stone flipped up on a road in Trafford and a smashed a car window, showering the youngster in glass.
It happened as the child's mum was driving to Tesco in Irlam and pulled over to let two police cars answering an emergency call past.
Zoe Paul told Key103 at first she thought they'd been shot at. She said, "I saw the siren and pulled over but then heard a loud bang. There was glass everywhere. I thought the car had been shot at. Harry was on the back seat screaming and crying, he was trying to get out of his car seat. He just clambered to the front and was just screaming and shaking.
The window had gone through with such force that he was covered in shards of glass. Luckily he didn't suffer any cuts."
Greater Manchester Police say they are looking into it and the incident's now in the hands of insurers.
