Fire crews tackle blaze in Cheshire's Delamere Forest
Dozens of firefighters are at the scene
Firefighters are tackling a blaze in Delamere Forest this evening (Tuesday 19 July).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service say they received a call from a ranger at 5.40pm reporting the incident.
The fire covers 40mx40m of ground and crews describe it as 'deep seated', eight fire engines were initially sent to the scene.

UPDATE - 19:10
Four main jets are in use and firefighters are setting up a water shuttle from nearby water. The fire is in a wooded area which is difficult to access.
UPDATE - 20:05
Firefighters have split the incident into sections so they can deal with the fire in the deep seated moss. They are using portable pumps to get water to the area and feed the four hose reel jets currently in use. They crews are liaising with park rangers and police who have set up a cordon around the fire cordon for safety.

The fire is located near to Barnsbridge Gates Car Park. Crews will continue to work throughout the night at this incident.
