The father of a three-year-old boy from Bury who was killed after being run over by a tractor has pleaded not-guilty to gross negligence manslaughter.

38-year-old Neil Speakman appeared at a hearing at Manchester Minshull Crown Court this afternoon.

During a brief hearing he pleaded not-guilty to a charge of gross negligence manslaughter and not-guilty to a second health and safety offence.

The charge relates to the death of three-year-old Albie Speakman who was killed when he was run over by a small tractor on a farm in Bury in July 2022.
