A man has died after being hit by a car while walking along a pavement in Bolton on Monday night (28 October).
Police said the Jaguar "lost control" while overtaking another car in the Westhoughton area at around 20:30GMT .
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the pedestrian - in his 40s - died at the scene.
A driver in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Greater Manchester Police are asking to speak to any witnesses and want to see any dashcam footage.
