Family pay tribute to dad of four killed in crash in Stockport
The family of a man who died after being struck by a motorcycle in Stockport have paid tribute to him.
Shortly after 7.25pm on Monday (18 June), police were called to reports of a collision between a black Kawasaki motorbike and a pedestrian on Great Egerton Street.
The pedestrian, Raymond Richardson, 57, of Norris Towers in Stockport, was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries.
In a statement, his family said: “You have sadly left behind four beautiful daughters, brothers, sisters close friends and family who loved you dearly. You will be missed by many.
“Raymond was very well known in the Stockport area, he had a wide social circle of friends.
“You will be remembered for your friendliness, charm and witty sense of humour, especially backing a winner in the bookies. You were the life and soul of any party.
“Your life was a blessing; your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measures.”
Police are continuing to appeal for information following the collision.
At the time of the collision, the motorbike involved was travelling along Great Egerton Street towards Bredbury.
The motorbike rider, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He was kept in hospital overnight and released the following day.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
