As the UK finds itself in the grip of a second wave of coronavirus, and another set of tighter restrictions across the board, we've been speaking exclusively to Father Christmas himself.

We've managed to do a socially distanced interview with Santa at Cockfields Farm in Oldham to see how he's been affected by the pandemic.

It comes Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces another national lockdown that will come into effect from Thursday 5th November in England, after local restrictions failed to sufficiently reduce infections.

The tighter measures in England involve closing pubs, bars, restaurants and non-essential retail for at least four weeks, but schools, colleges and nurseries will remain open.

But Santa's reassuring children that Covid can't take away the magic of Christmas:
