An emergency bleed cabinet - which houses lifesaving equipment to treat people in the event of a knife wound - has been unveiled in Manchester.
The new cabinet, at Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre on Wilmslow Road, has been paid for by fundraising by the family of a 17-year-old boy who was killed in a knife attack.
The family of Kyle Hackland, who was stabbed to death last November, gathered at the centre on Saturday afternoon to watch the cabinet be unveiled by Kyle's younger sister.
Unveiling the cabinet, Kyle's little sister Eva read a speech:
"Thank you to everyone who has joined us for the unveiling of this emergency bleed cabinet in memory of Kyle Hackland.
"I'd like to thank all of Lyndon SGB Scaffolding who donated the cabinet we are installing today.
"Also, Jamie Walsh - security manager of the complex - who has worked with Avril to make this possible and the building management team and owners of the complex for allowing us to install the cabinet on their premises.
"This is such an important site for us as it's going to be seen by so many people, making more people aware of the importance of emergency bleed cabinets and how they could be vital in saving someone's life.
"So in memory of my brother Kyle, I unveil this Cabinet."
"Kind and well-mannered young boy who always looked out for his family"
It's one of a number of such cabinets that have been installed across the area since Kyle was killed.
In February another bleed cabinet was installed at Westcroft Community Centre just streets away from where the 17-year-old lost his life.
Kyle has previously been described by his family as "beautiful", "caring" and " a kind and well-mannered young boy who always looked out for his family – never failing to say “love you” as he walked out the door."
Four teenagers, three who were found guilty of Kyle's murder and one of manslaugher are due to be sentenced next month.
