Elderly woman dies after crash in Sale

Police have described it as a 'tragic incident'

An elderly woman has died after a crash involving one vehicle in Sale.

Emergency services were called just before 4:15pm on Friday 8 June, to Brooklands Station Approach.

An 82-year-old woman was taken to hospital but, sadly, she died in hospital yesterday, and an investigation continues.

Detective Sergeant Marie Eldred, from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident that have left a family understandably devastated, our officers are continuing with enquiries.

“At this time, we don’t believe anyone else was involved. However, anyone with information or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to report it.
