Man arrested on suspicion of murdering elderly man in Stretford
A man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday
A man's been arrested on suspicion of murdering an elderly man who was found dead at a property in Stretford.
Yesterday morning (Thursday 20 July 2022) at 9:30am, officers were called to a report of a concern for the welfare of a male in a property on Edgbaston Drive.
Officers attended and a man in his 80s was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
A 51-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
