Detectives secure murder charge following stabbing in Wythenshawe

He will appear at Stockport Magistrates tomorrow

Scott Thomson, of Skye Walk in Wythenshawe, has been charged with murder.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Stockport Magistrates tomorrow (9th December 2024).

This charge relates to an incident which took place on 4th December 2024, where a 47-year-old man named James Murray was stabbed and sadly passed away on Skye Walk in Wythenshawe.

A 64-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the murder, however they are continuing to appeal for anyone who has information to come forward.
