Controlled explosion after suspect package found in Salford

Bomb disposal teams have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious package found in Salford.

Police were called to Tallyman Way, in Pendleton, Agecroft at 11.45am.

The road was closed off in both directions from Agecroft Road to Lamplight Way, which is surrounded by businesses and homes.

People were urged to stay away from the windows as the controlled explosion took place.

Police have since told us it was nothing suspicious.
