Climate change protest in Manchester

Cllimate change activists have descended on Manchester city centre for the start of a four day protest.

Extinction Rebellion members have been in St Ann's Square and blocking off a section of Deansgate.

The message from police to Extinction Rebellion protesters: 'You have the right to protest lawfully, but any illegal activity will be dealt with".

Extra police are being drafted in to deal with the protests
