Body found on street in Wigan as investigation launched

Enquiries are underway after a body was found on a street in Shevington, Wigan.
Police were called to Kilburn Drive at around 7pm on Thursday evening.
Emergency services also attended and confirmed that the body was deceased.
A cordon remains in place at the scene but officers say there is no disruption to the wider area.
GMP are now working to identify the body and officers are looking to speak to anyone who has any information about what happened.
