Coronation Street veteran Bill Roache has been granted compassionate leave from the cobbles following the death of his eldest daughter.
Vanya, from the actor's marriage to first wife Anna Cropper, has passed away aged 50.
It's reported that Roache, who's played Ken Barlow since the soap was first aired in 1960, has been told to take as much time as he needs.
The 85-year-old's second wife, Sara, died in 2009 aged just 58.
Their daughter Edwina died, aged just 18 months, from a chest infection
