CCTV reviewed by officers following the horrific incident showed an altercation taking place between George and Tyrone. It showed that George was in a possession of a bladed article, that inflicted the fatal injuries, with Tyrone being without a weapon.

Witnesses at the time reported to seeing Anthony George stab Tyrone and noted that he had been seen three days’ prior with a knife.

Following a Home Office post-mortem, the coroner ruled Tyrone’s cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.

“We are extremely pleased with today’s result. Anthony George will spend the next 21 years in prison for the violent murder of Tyrone Williamson.

“I would like to commend the team for an effective and thorough investigation that has led to Tyrone’s family receiving justice.”
