3 men arrested in Manchester pub drug raid

Police have arrested three men after drugs raids at the Bradford Inn pub in Manchester.

Officers carried out a warrant today, Tuesday 13th January, in response to community intelligence that drug dealing was taking place in and around the Bradford Inn pub.

Officers seized class A and B drugs, drug dealing equipment, and a large amount of cash was recovered.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs and also for money laundering.

Four men and a woman were detained and brought to Central Park Police Station for the purpose of a drugs search.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of class A drugs and being concerned with the supply of drugs.

A second warrant was also executed at an address on Winstanley Road in Miles Platting. A 54-year old man was arrested for burglary offences and police recovered a stolen car.

The three men have all been released on bail.

The Bradford Inn was served with a closure notice for breach of their licensing conditions.

Inspector Shan Nasim from GMP’s North Manchester Division said:

“These arrests are part of an ongoing operation targeting drug dealing in the Miles Platting area.

“We are determined to rid our communities of all drugs but the police cannot do this alone.

“The local community in Miles Platting have provided vital information for this investigation and we will continue to work with them as part of this ongoing operation.

"I would like to thank the people in Miles Platting for their continued support and reiterate that we will continue our work to obliterate the trade of drugs in the area.”
