Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious RTC in Stockport that left a 27-year-old man in a critical condition in hospital.
At 11.15pm on Saturday 3 July, officers were called to Wellington Road North, Stockport, after a pedestrian was in collision with a car that then failed to stop and drove off southbound.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to hospital where he remains in a critical condition with head injuries.
Sergeant Neil Pennington, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "A man is in hospital with very serious injuries. We need to find out exactly how this collision occurred and who was involved.
"We are working to identify the driver of the car that failed to stop. However, we do advise the person driving that car to make contact with police so we can properly ascertain the circumstances of this serious incident.
"We are also asking for anyone who may have seen the incident or anyone who has information or dashcam footage, particularly any sightings of a black Mercedes A Class driving dangerously in the area prior to the collision, to contact police."
