25 Sentenced in Oldham drug crackdown
Oldham drug dealers handed total of 74 years in prison.
Twenty-five people have been sentenced to a total of 74 years in a crackdown on drug dealing in Oldham. Operation Plumbline was a year-long investigation led by officers from Oldham’s Organised Challenger Crime Unit into the distribution of Heroin and Crack Cocaine in the Oldham area. Three strike days in April, June, and July 2015 resulted in officers seizing heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis and cash. Inspector Paul Walker of Oldham division, said: “After a year of hard work and determination from our dedicated officers in Oldham we have successfully put 25 people behind bars, and we will not stop here. “We are fulfilling our goal of ridding the streets of Oldham of drugs and we will carry on listening to our communities, who have told us they want drug-dealers taken off their streets. “I hope this serves as a warning that if you are involved in the organised crime and drug dealing that blights our community, we will pursue you and justice will be done.”
