The Champion Awards are back for 2024!
Vote for the Greater Manchester Health and Care Champion Awards now
The only Greater Manchester-wide awards for the whole health and care workforce are back again for their fifth year.
As well as regular favourites such as Community Champion, Collaborative Champion and Rising Star, a new category has also been introduced this year, Team of the Year, which looks to recognise the value of good teamwork across our health and care services. Nominations across all fourteen categories are now open and will close on Friday 15 March 2024.
Last year’s winners included a consultant paediatric at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, a Rising Star care coordinator, who started her journey as an Afghan refugee and even a barber from Bolton, who took home the Community Champion Award.
Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham said: “These awards are such a fantastic celebration of the commitment and dedication of the people who support health and care services across Greater Manchester. We all know that these are challenging times, and it takes a special type of person to work within or support the health and care sector. I would encourage anyone who has experienced outstanding care – either in hospital or in the community to make some time to give that someone the recognition they deserve."
