The Manchester Half Marathon comes back to Trafford this October. The course is famous for being fast and friendly. It's a great race to take on your personal best, or take the next step up in your running.

For Patrick Barden it's a chance to enjoy the famous Manchester atmosphere. Patrick is 24 and has cerebal palsy and his motivation for taking on the challenge of the Manchester Half Marathon is to raise awareness of cerebal palsy & conductive education.

Patrick wants to prove to people that nothing is impossible, no matter what your ability.

Patrick starts the Manchester Half Marathon on Friday 13th October, two days prior to the event. He'll take on 5 miles on both Friday and Saturday, he'll complete the final 3.1 miles on Sunday with all the other racers.
