Hatchfest
Charity Music Festival
Last updated 4th Sep 2017
Hatchfest is a Music Festival in Loving Memory of Karen Whittaker
Every September the beautiful Cheshire village of Mottram St Andrews plays host to this popular family music festival.
Hatchfest was created through its founder, Mark Hatch. Mark, a renowned musician, travelled the world in a band with his sister Karen. She was the lead vocalist and Mark was the drummer.
Tragedy struck the Hatch family in October 2014 when Karen learned that she had cancer. After a long and brave battle, Karen passed away. Mark felt the loss profoundly and became driven to create an event that celebrates Karen's life and raises fund for local charities.
In Karen's memory, and for everyone who has been affected by cancer, Hatchfest 2017 would like to raise as much money as possible for The Christie Hospital and East Cheshire Hospice.
Listen to Adam Cole all this week for your chance to win a VIP package including overnight stay at Mottram Hall and a helicopter ride to the festival site.
