Bedford man and woman charged with murder over death of man in south east London
A 26 year old died at the scene after being stabbed.
A man and woman have been charged with murder after a 26-year-old was fatally stabbed in south-east London.
Police were called to Monson Road, New Cross, at about 7.26pm on Saturday, where Ayowale Aladejana was found with stab wounds.
Officers attended alongside paramedics and London Air Ambulance medics but Mr Aladejana, from South Norwood, Croydon, died at the scene.
Ben Wazabanga, 23, from Bedford, Bedfordshire, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court later on Monday.
Ronique Belfon, 23, from Bedford, was also charged with murder and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later, the Metropolitan Police said.
A post-mortem examination gave the victim's preliminary cause of death as stab wound to the chest.
His family is being supported by specialist officers.
