A murder investigation has been launched in Acton, following the death of a man.

Detectives say they were called just after 4am yesterday to Birkbeck Road, following calls about a fight and possible shots fired.

A man was found seriously injured at the scene and later died. At least three others have been injured in the incident though their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officer's say though formal identification is yet to take place, they're "confident" 33-year-old Nash Clyne is the man who died, and his family are being supported by officers.

An investigation is underway with Detectives working "at pace" to establish why Nash was killed.

Enquiries are also ongoing to establish what weapons were used in the attack.

A post-mortem into Nash's death will take place over the next few days.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information, with Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, calling for those in particular who "was at the Front Line Cuts barber shop or the Paradise Cuts barber shop, both in Acton High Street, between 22:00hrs on Saturday and 04:30hrs on Sunday.

“What you know, however insignificant it may seem now, could hold the key to this investigation.”

An increased police presence will remain in Acton as enquiries continue.
