Labour's also gained Uxbridge and South Ruislip from the Conservatives.
Victory for Independent Jeremy Corbyn
There was jubilation in Islington in north London, as Jeremy Corbyn won - as an independent candidate.
Mr Corbyn said: "I'm very happy with the result."
He said it was a "fantastic result and it's a triumph for the people of Islington North".
He said his message for Sir Keir Starmer was: "Our people in Islington North, your neighbouring constituency, turned out in huge numbers on a message of hope, wealth redistribution and fundamental change in our society. I'm very proud of them."
Asked whether he was hopeful for the future, he said: "I'm always hopeful for the future because I'm a born optimist."
Lib Dems Celebrate wins in south west London
Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey celebrated the party's election results by dancing and singing to Sweet Caroline with supporters in central London.
Sir Ed laughed as he twirled around with his hands in the air singing the Neil Diamond classic while party supporters sang along and waved orange Lib Dem posters.
The party leader hugged attendees as he danced his way towards the stage to deliver a short speech following his stunt-packed election campaign.
His party have made gains elsewhere in the Capital: taking Wimbledon, Sutton and Cheam and Carshalton and Wallington from the Tories.
Sir Ed said: he is "really proud" of his party's election campaign.
In an interview after winning Kingston and Surbiton, he said: "Tonight the Liberal Democrats are on for our best result for over a century and I'm really proud that our party has fought so positively during this campaign, particularly putting the reforming and fixing of the crisis in our health and care system right to the forefront.
"The many Liberal Democratic MPs who have been elected tonight are going to continue to fight to sort out health and care, so that the people of our great country can get the health and care they deserve."
Conservative seats held
In London - there's now a hugely reduced number of Conservative MPs, so some have held on.
Former Tory party leader, Sir Iain Duncan-Smith has kept his seat in Chingford and Woodford Green.
Harrow east has bucked the trend with Conservative Bob Blackman keeping his seat.
The Tories have also held on to Hornchurch and Upminster and Croydon south.
