Widnes man charged after 'incident' in town

A Widnes man has been charged with a number of offences - including false imprisonment and intentional strangulation - after an incident in the town.

Dean Daniel, 43, was arrested at around 1:05am on Monday 29 December.

He's been charged with false imprisonment, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, and threatening a person with an offensive weapon.

Daniel, of Bell House Road, Widnes, has also been charged with section 18 assault.

He's been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court today (30 December).
