Anthony Edwards reportedly suffered a medical episode on Sunday
The family of a man who died shortly after being arrested in Bootle have paid tribute to him.
Anthony Edwards, 37, sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday afternoon after reportedly suffering a medical episode.
Officers had been called to reports of a man acting erratically on Keir Hardie Avenue on Sunday morning (06 April), where the arrest took place.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police are conducting house-to-house enquiries in the local area.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
In a statement Anthony's family said:
“Our beloved Anthony such a loving person, words cannot describe how devastated we are, your friends and family will miss you dearly. We ask for privacy at this time so we can grieve together.”
