Three men have been found guilty of the murder of a man who was shot outside his partner's house in Kirkby.

36-year-old Rikki Berry died in July 2024 after being shot three times on Quarryside Drive.

Adam Williams, 26, Connor Walsh, 26, and Michael Smith, 25, all denied murder - with Smith admitting to the lesser charge of manslaughter midway through the trial.

Bu today - after nearly eight hours of deliberation, the jury came to unanimous verdicts of guilty of murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The trial heard how there was a plot to murder Rikki - although one of the defendants claimed it was just to frighten him rather than kill him.

The judge told them they'll be sentenced on Tuesday 18 February - and they can expect life sentences.
