Southport sky filled with bubbles in special vigil
Crowds gathered one week on to 'send kisses to heaven'.

One week on from the devastating knife attack in Southport, crowds gathered last night (Monday 5 August) to hold a special vigil for all those affected.
The tribute was held outside of The Atkinson, with crowds blowing bubbles in the memory of the three young girls who tragically died in last week's attack, and to all those who were injured.
Families were invited to "send kisses to heaven" in a tribute to six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.
Councillor Sean Halsall told us he hopes those affected are feeling the town's full support: "Just seeing the community rally around them has to give some comfort, hopefully.
"It's tough, what do you say to someone who has experience that deep and tragic loss."
Councillor Halsall added that he's been proud to see Southport's unity: "It's been so inspiring to see the community come together whether that be: the vigil last week, or to clear up after the violence and rampage, or the bubbles.
"It's absolutely the families and children that have to be at the forefront of everything now."
