Six teenagers and man arrested over suspected assault in Liverpool
A man was found with a serious head injury outside a pub early on Thursday morning (02 January)
Six teenagers and a man have been arrested over a suspected assault on a 21-year-old outside pub in Liverpool.
The man was found with a serious head injury at around 00:45GMT on Thursday morning (02 January) and remains in hospital.
Witness and CCTV enquiries were carried out in the city centre and a total of seven people have been arrested:
A 38 year-old man from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent
A 17 year-old male from Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent and affray
A 16 year-old male from Sheffield, was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent and affray
A 15 year-old male from Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).
A 17 year-old male from Salford was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent
An 18 year-old man from Salford was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent
A 17 year-old male from Manchester was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent
All seven are currently in custody while enquiries remain ongoing.
