A memorial sculpture will be created at Anfield for player Diogo Jota, recycled from the tributes left for him by Liverpool fans.

Supporters left scarves, works of art, cards and banners in memory of Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who died in a car crash earlier this month.

The club says the artefacts "became a focal point for the collective grief felt by so many, including Liverpool’s squad and staff, who paid their respects alongside members of the brothers’ family".

While the sculpture is created, a temporary area of reflection has been created at Anfield so people can continue to pay their respects.

The floral tributes will be composted and used in flower beds across Anfield and two club training centres.
