Second person arrested after fatal stabbing in Haydock

A second person has been arrested in connection with a murder in Haydock.
The suspect, a 40-year-old from Liverpool, joins a 39-year-old woman from Billinge in custody.
On Friday night, police were called to a flat on Sherlock Avenue where they the victim, a man in his 30s, had been stabbed.
The victim was attended to by paramedics but has since died from his injuries.
Detectives are in the early stages of investigating the incident and enquiries are ongoing, Merseyside Police said.
