A 47-year-old man from Hungary and a 32-year-old man from Huyton were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Both were taken to local police stations for questioning.

At the same time, law enforcement officers in the Netherlands arrested five individuals, including two UK nationals and three Dutch men, also on suspicion of offences relating to the supply of Class A drugs.

The coordinated operation continued into Wednesday 21st May, when a 37-year-old man from Vauxhall, Liverpool was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

All eight suspects are currently being held for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

The operation highlights the increasing collaboration between UK and European law enforcement agencies in tackling organised crime networks that span across borders.
