Police are investigating the death of a man at Liverpool's Pier Heard, where a huge emergency response was seen on Sunday (02 February).
An area around Priory Wharf was closed off at around 09:25GMT, with the coastguard, ambulance crews and the fire and rescue service all joining police.
Merseyside Police confirmed a man's body was found, and his death is being treated as "unexplained".
In a statement, the force said: "We can confirm that emergency services were in Birkenhead and Liverpool Pier Heard following the discovery of a body".
"The death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries.!
The identity of the man is not yet known.
