League Cup final: Liverpool bid for first trophy under Slot
The Reds take on Newcastle at Wembley
Thousands of Liverpool fans are making the trip to Wembley - as they look to lift their first major trophy under Arne Slot.
His side face Newcastle United in the League Cup final - and are unbeaten in their last 17 games against Eddie Howe's team.
Victory for Liverpool would mean the Reds retaining the trophy - they beat Chelsea last season thanks to an extra-time header from Virgil van Dijk.
Slot said:
"A final in this country is always special because of the fact there are so many strong teams in this country and this league so if you reach a final, it's always a big moment for them but definitely also for us.
"In the end, although we've got two cup game sin this country, you can never take a final for granted. We don't play every single season every final."
Newcastle are without Liverpool-born winger Anthony Gordon because of suspension - key defenders Lewis Hall and Sven Botman are out injured.
Liverpool also have their own injury problems - they'll be without Trent Alexander-Arnold who came off injured during the defeat to PSG in midweek.
Kick-off is at 4:30pm.
