Liverpool could secure the Premier League title today (20 April) if results go the Reds' way.

It would require Arne Slot's side picking up three points against 19th placed Leicester (4:30 k/o), and for 18th placed Ipswich Town to defeat Arsenal (2pm k/o).

Liverpool currently sit top on 76 points, 13 points clear of Arsenal with six games remaining.

If the title isn't wrapped up today, it could happen if Liverpool win today and Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

It will be out of Arsenal's hands altogether, even if they win both games, if Liverpool win today and beat Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield next weekend.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said:

"My thoughts are not on that (winning the Premier League this weekend) at all, my thoughts are, as always, on Leicester and on our team - how to improve, what can we do better.

"We could do many things better in the first half against West Ham, we could do a lot of things better in the second half, so during the start of the week we've worked on that a lot and now we are working towards Leicester - one game at a time and influence the one we can influence on and that is the Leicester game."

Captain Virgil van Dijk is set to start, fresh from joining Mo Salah in signing a new contract at the club.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is still heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid in the summer, could be named on the bench after nearly six weeks out with an ankle injury.
