A former cage fighter from Litherland has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend in Huyton.

Rebekah Campbell, 32, suffered 18 stab wounds and nine slash injuries after being attacked inside her flat in Knowsley Heights in April.

Michael Ormandy, 34, denied murder and claimed he acted in self-defence.

However, after a two-week trial, a jury needed just over two hours to unanimously find Ormandy guilty.

He's due to be sentenced today (16 October).
