A huge reward is on offer for information about a shooting in Liverpool, in which a 22-year-old man was killed.
Sam Rimmer was out with friends in Dingle when a four men on two electric bikes opened fire with a sub-machine gun on 16 August 2022.
The 22-year-old dad-to-be from Bootle was shot in the back and taken to hospital, but despite the efforts of paramedics and doctors, he later died.
So far, 10 people have been arrested in connection with Sam's death, and now a £20,000 reward is being offered by Crimestoppers for information.
Investigators want to know details about the men who were on the electric bikes, and who fired the gun.
Gary Murray, North West Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said: “ Despite extensive investigations with ten people being arrested and bailed since, this dreadful murder remains unsolved.
“Our charity knows that some people find it difficult to speak directly to the police.
“You can tell us what you know and you’re done. No police, no courts, no witness statements."
In August, Merseyside Police released a fresh plea for information.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Steve McGrath, said: “Two years have passed since Sam’s murder and his family have not had the answers they deserve.
“Sam’s death has had a devastating impact on his family, and in particular his mum, and they deserve to get justice.
“As part of our investigation we have made a number of arrests and received a lot of information from the public. We just need the final piece of the puzzle.
“We know that there are people out there who live in the Dingle/Toxteth area who know who is responsible and my appeal is for those people to come forward and tell us what they know.
“Do you know who was riding on the bikes that arrived in Lavrock Bank that night? Do you know where they went afterwards or where they are being stored?
“Any information passed on to us will be handled with care and sensitivity, and we can put extensive measures in place to protect those brave enough to come forward.
