A woman killed in a stabbing in Warrington has been pictured for the first time, as her family release an emotional tribute.
Michele Kennedy, 55, was rushed to hospital from a house on Manchester Road, where police were called to on Monday 13 October.
She died five days later, on Saturday 18 October.
In a tribute, her family said: "“Michele was a much-loved daughter, mother, sister, auntie and nana".
“She was a larger-than-life character who would leave a lasting impression on all that met her, who would help anyone, was beautiful, strong, fearless and one of a kind.
“The loss of her life has left a massive hole in our family, and we know that her friends and colleagues who were involved in her life will feel the same.
“We would like to offer our extended thanks to all the emergency services that attended the scene and any kind person that tried to help. We will miss her very much.”
A murder investigation into her death has been launched and a 61-year-old man remains in custody.
Gavin Shaw was previously been charged attempted murder in relation to the incident.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 15 October where he was remanded in custody.
Shaw is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 12 November.
